Do you know the way to God’s house?  I am so thankful that God has given us clear directions, no only how to live with Him forever, but how to live for Him here on earth!  His directions are in the Bible.  There are some things we must know that help us to understand God’s map.

We have all sinned, that includes you.

Romans 3:10; “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.”

Romans 3:23; “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Because our nature is sin, we are lost. But Jesus came to save us.

Luke 19:10; “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Jesus desires to save usfrom the penalty of sin.

Romans 6:23; “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

To save us from the penalty, Jesus died for our sin. 

Romans 5:8; “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Jesus rose from the dead to give us new life.

Romans 6:4-5; “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

You can have eternal life by believing Jesus Christ is Lord. This "belief" will cause you to surrender to His Lordship in your life.

Romans 10:9-10; “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Romans 10:13; “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

 Do you Surrender? Is Jesus your King? Pray this prayer:

Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner.  I am lost without you.  I believe that you paid the penalty for sin to give me eternal life.  You died and rose again to give me that eternal life.   I believe this in my heart and confess it with my mouth as I call on your name.  You are Lord.  Thank you for saving me.  In Jesus Name Amen.
