Penia Baptist Church Leadership
Penia Baptist Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Bro. Terry was appointed to serve as Penia Baptist Church's Senior Pastor on the 28th of October 2018. Prior to that, he served as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Cutler Ridge in Cutler Bay, Florida. He has also served on the staff of the Florida Baptist Convention, Long Branch Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Fl. and is a veteran with 20 years of Naval Service.
The attributes that best describe Pastor Terry as a pastor are leadership development, compassion and a desire to proclaim the truth of God's Word. He celebrates and is honored to shepherd a church like Penia Baptist where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ by actively cultivating new believers. Pastor Terry takes worship and preaching very seriously, sticking to the conservative and unmistakable truths of the Scripture in every sermon.
He is a native of Warner Robins, GA and graduated from Perry High School and attended Middle Georgia College before joining the Navy. He is a graduate of The Baptist College of Florida with a degree in Ministry Studies. Pastor Terry has been happily married for 39 years to his wife, Sybil. They have 2 married adult Children: Dustin and Tyler and five grandchildren.
Justin is honored to serve as Penia Baptist Church's youth director. His leadership is driven by a heart to serve and share the Gospel of Jesus through discipleship.
Originally from Unadilla, GA, Justin graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University and Darton College entering a career as A Physical Therapist Assistant.
Justin serves alongside his wife of 15 years, Amber. They have three daughters: Molly, Lilly, and Ruby.
Harolene joyfully leads the music ministries at Penia Baptist Church. Her passion is to spread the Gospel and Love of Jesus Christ through music.
Harolene is a graduate of Mercer University and teaches music. She is happily married to Rev. Jay Shingler.
